week 3: Harmony is Discordance (art gallery)

Yireh Elaine Kwak is an incredible oil painter who has been painting for the past 6 years. The painting above is called Harmony is Discordance Conflicting Landscapes. She said that with this painting, she portrayed each single piece as a strong piece itself and even greater all together. Elaine is inspired daily by her home. Beyond her backyard lies an enormous golf course, all the green and nature around her motivates and inspires her.

Elaines loves the color pigments in oil paint because of the plastic shine. She is especially great with analyzing art by connecting with artists who are deceased through their art. A few of her favorite artists are; Gustav Klimn and Fiona Rae. Elaine can relate to their paintings because she says their paintings look like landscapes in their brush strokes.
